Agency Funds are established by non-profit organizations, creating annual sources of income for the benefit of their organization.

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI athlete who is dedicated and committed to multiple school teams during high school.

  • Barbara Alice Beck Scholarship Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate pursuing an education in the field of medicine, specifically nursing, and obtains top marks in at least one math and two science subjects.

  • Bill & Cathy Skyhar Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to one or more PCI students each year who have experienced the death of one or more parents, and are continuing their education at a post-secondary or trades institution.​​​​

  • Brad J. Barrett Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who is pursuing formal education for a career in the field of culinary arts.​​

​

  • Cameron J. Hoover Memorial Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate pursuing post-secondary education and who has achieved the highest mark in chemistry.

​

  • Carl McGregor Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to students from Portage la Prairie, MacGregor, and Neepawa, who are attending a diploma/degree program in agriculture, animal husbandry, plant/weed science, or the first year of a veterinary course.

​

  • Charlie Oliver 4-H Fund

Income from this fund is awarded in the form of a gold watch, to a student exhibiting outstanding merit as a 4-H member from Portage la Prairie's agricultural district.

  • Chuck Young Natural Resource Management Memorial Scholarship Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate pursuing a career in the field of natural resource management at a post-secondary institute within Canada.  Applicants must demonstrate a strong desire for the outdoors, the environment, and in passing knowledge on to others through mentorship.

  • Don & Lois Booth Memorial Bursary

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who is enrolled or accepted at a Canadian university or college and  demonstrates commitment to peace and social justice, and has a history of community service or involvement.

  • Doreen Buchanan Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate pursuing a career in human nutrition or culinary arts.

​

  • Dr. Donald Rae Memorial Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who is currently registered or accepted in any year of studies in nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, medicine, or medical rehabilitation including, without limitation, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or respiratory therapy.

​

  • Dr. Harvey Hassard Memorial Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to two PCI graduates each year, who are currently accepted or registered in any year of studies in pharmacy, laboratory technology, radiology, dentistry, medicine, or medical rehabilitation (including, without limitation, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and respiratory therapy).

  • Elma Slack Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who intends to pursue a program of study leading to certification.

  • Ernie & Jocelyn Durand Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate pursuing post-secondary education or entering training for a skilled trade, who has a family member with MS.

​

  • Florence Metheral Memorial Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate with the highest academic standing having completed a full Sr. 4 University program in the current school year, and plans to enroll in an accredited university next term.

​

  • Gage Foster Athletic Scholarship Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who played multiple sports as a PCI athlete and displays full commitment and dedication, and embodies true meaning of being a team member.

​

  • George and Wanda Ryder Trades Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate pursuing a career in commercial trades.

​

  • Grace B. Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate with the highest average in physics & math (Pre-calculus or Applied).

​

  • Greenberg Family Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who is the recipient of the Governor General Award.

​

  • Gwen Hogue Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate pursuing a career in education and who has a love for literature.

​

  • Jody Lee Fulton Memorial Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to  one student from Central Manitoba each year who plans to obtain a commercial pilot license.

​

  • Karen Handford Memorial Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who is pursuing a career in the field of medicine, preferably nursing.

​

  • KD3 Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a Awarded to a PCI graduate who intends to establish a career in the health and wellness field, and exhibits financial need.

  • Krista Tully Memorial Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a female PCI graduate who is pursuing a post-secondary education in technology or science.

​

  • John Rennie Memorial Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate from the Roving Classroom program and/or a graduating student who received the support of resources from PCI and is pursuing post-secondary education and/or career training.

  • Lorraine Rae Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who is currently registered or accepted in any year of studies in the field of education.​

  • MacVicar Family Bursary Fund

    Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who is pursuing post-secondary studies in agronomy. The student should show great ambition and financial need.

​

  • Margaret Webster Memorial Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate with a minimum average of 70%, will be attending a university or college for more than one year, and is active in school/community.

​

  • Maxine Edmondson Award Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who plans to enroll in university or community college and who has achieved honours standing in Math 40S.

​

  • Nell Owens Award in Excellence in Writing Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate with exceptional writing skills in prose and/or poetry, and who is accepted/registered at post-secondary school.

​

  • Newton McCleary Scholarship Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate with the highest grade average and who has been accepted into the Department of Agriculture at the University of Manitoba, for a degree in agriculture or like sciences.

​

  • Orest and Eva Shewchuk Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate pursuing a career in education.

​

  • Orille Hogue Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who is registered at a community college to learn a trade.​

​

  • Portage Collegiate Institute Alumni Awards Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to four PCI graduates each year, by way of 2 PCI Citizenship Awards, 1 PCI Centennial Scholastic Award, and 1 PCI Centennial School Spirit Award.​

  • Portage Community Development Corp Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who is currently accepted or enrolled at a Canadian university or college, and who is pursuing a degree/diploma in commerce, business administration, accounting or administrative studies.

​

  • Portage & Rural MS Support Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate whose life has been affected by MS either personally, or in the family, and/or is pursuing an education in the science or medical fields.

​

  • Portage University Women`s Group Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a female PCI graduate to attend post-secondary schooling.

​

  • Radford Award for Math

Income from this fund is awarded to a student from the Portage area pursuing a career requiring above-average math skills, such as medicine, research, teaching, engineering, accounting, business management, or architecture.

​

  • Radford Award for Science

Income from this fund is awarded to a student from the Portage area pursuing a career requiring above-average science skills such as medicine, research, teaching, engineering, accounting, business management. or architecture.

​

  • Reita Richardson Memorial Award Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate registered/accepted in a post-secondary school for nursing.

​

  • Robert A. and W. James Gibb Memorial Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who is pursuing a career in a building trade at a post-secondary college, and who has the highest grade-point average of those students who are enrolled in such a course.

​

  • Russ Denton Memorial Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who is currently registered or accepted in any year of post-secondary education.

​

  • Salem & Curtis-Ridge Community Club Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate residing in former Salem, Elm River, Layland, Kelvin, East & West Curtis, and North & South Ridge Road School Districts, and is registered at a post-secondary school.

​

  • Thomas N. Metheral Award Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who has high academic standards, keen interest in school and community extracurricular activities, and is attending university or community college.

​

  • Virgil E. Holmes Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate who achieved the highest cumulative standing in 300 Level Math, Chemistry, and Physics and is accepted/registered at a post-secondary school.

​

  • Walter Ritchie Bell Memorial Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate accepted/registered at a post-secondary school, and who participated actively in school and community.

​

  • William A. Linden Memorial Bursary Fund

Income from this fund is awarded to a PCI graduate with a continuing education/interest in working with land, archaeology, and/or politics.

Designated Funds

Designated Funds allow the donor to specify one or more charitable beneficiaries for the income to be disbursed to annually.
